There are few albums as important to my musical discovery than Beastie Boys’ @beastieboys Check Your Head. The insanely eclectic blend of the quintessentially New York sounds of hip-hop, funk, hardcore, be-bop, soul and everything in between was a kaleidoscopic telegram from a county I’d end up living in for a few years. The Beastie Boys embody everything I loved as a kid and this tee embodies everything I love about them. The Glen Friedman portrait in a remote reference to the same of Minor Threat, the Todd James illustration, the white on white print, delivered with exquisite detail. A shirt like few others 😎
