It is an eternal mystery why KMFDM never made it past the industrial underground. There is something reliably catchy, propulsive and avant-Garde that their early catalogue channelled so expertly. The eclecticism of their sound which blended raw industrial with dub, thrash, 70s disco and everything in between came to define the Wax Trax sound.
What’s even more special is their long-standing partnership with artist Aidan Hughes aka BRUTE! who created some of the most eye-popping designs in alternative music.
