This is shirt that was sold on Depeche Mode's European leg of their World Violation tour, promoting their 1989 album Violator, which truly catapulted the boys from Basildon into true rock stardom. Is it Depeche Mode's most 'metal' album? Martin Gore said of the name: "We called it Violator as a joke. We wanted to come up with the most extreme, ridiculously Heavy Metal title that we could. I'll be surprised if people will get the joke."
